ABOUT THE RESEARCH SCHOOLS NETWORK
Leading the way
Research Schools are a relatively new network of schools designed to work with other schools to bring research to life for them. There are many evidence-based resources and tools available to help improve teaching practice and raise attainment, but it can be difficult to get research into schools in ways that make a difference.
Research Schools aim to lead the way in the us
of evidence-based practice by sharing what they know about putting research into practice and supporting schools to make better use of evidence.
We provide targeted training and professional development for senior leaders and teachers on how to improve classroom practice based on the best available research and evidence.
These programmes are designed to make research more accessible for teachers and bring, what can often be dismissed as complex concepts and principles, to life for use in the classroom.
Support & expertise
We support schools to develop their own innovative ways of improving teaching and learning through the use of research, and provide them with the expertise to evaluate their impact.
We also support schools with grant applications for IEE innovation evaluation funding.
